Diagnostic Equipment Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Equipment Technician to assist in medical scientific or industrial laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of lab procedures, safety protocols, and quality control standards, and will be able to operate and maintain lab equipment, microscopes, and diagnostic machines. In addition to this, the candidate will conduct laboratory tests and experiments following standard procedures, prepare and analyze samples, record and interpret test results, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. They will also assist in research projects and scientific studies as required, manage inventory, and follow quality control and assurance protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following standard procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze samples of blood, urine, tissue, chemicals, or other substances.
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment, microscopes, and diagnostic machines.
  • Record and interpret test results accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the lab.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reports for test findings.
  • Assist in research projects and scientific studies as required.
  • Manage inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
  • Follow quality control and assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with scientists, doctors, and researchers to support lab operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a Lab Technician (UAE experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of lab procedures, safety protocols, and quality control standards.
  • Proficiency in handling lab equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • DHA/MOH/HAAD license (for medical lab technicians) is preferred.
