About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the civil and structural aspects of construction projects within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the civil and structural construction activities on site, ensuring that all work adheres to project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality, providing technical support and guidance to site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve civil and structural issues that arise during construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and construction activities, collaborating with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site, adhering to all HSE policies and procedures, and ensuring that all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, with 5 years in field engineering.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of civil and structural systems, materials, and construction techniques specific to oil and gas projects, proficiency in using engineering design and analysis software, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
