About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Manager to join our team at Talabat. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and releasing software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business outcomes.

You will work closely with our cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and data, to identify customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs. You will also be responsible for mentoring and inspiring other engineers, and continually optimizing our team's practices to develop a self-organized and continuously improving unit.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to critically question and simplify our tech org systems and processes, and to innovate and own the entire software development lifecycle. You will also be responsible for delivering value in small batches in accordance with our engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and release software solutions that meet customer needs and drive business outcomes.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and develop solutions.
  3. Mentor and inspire other engineers to develop a self-organized and continuously improving unit.
  4. Continually optimize team practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Critically question and simplify tech org systems and processes.
  6. Own and innovate the entire software development lifecycle.
  7. Deliver value in small batches in accordance with engineering standards.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an Extreme Programming environment.
  2. 1+ years of software development experience with Flutter (using Dart).
  3. Good understanding of the Flutter ecosystem, including State Management, DI, and Testing Framework.
  4. Some understanding of native mobile development life cycle, including iOS and Android-specific application development.
  5. Proficient in testing with a focus on automated end-to-end quality.
  6. Familiarity with analytics and A/B testing tools.
  7. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and techniques.
