Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician will work under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations and the OR/PACU Charge nurse to ensure the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, distribution, and control of medical-surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for the Perioperative area and other patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate and prepare medical-surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for sterilization and distribution.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
  • Verify the sterility of instruments and equipment before distribution.
  • Collaborate with the OR/PACU team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of instruments and equipment.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
