Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
  • Help oversee and manage individual accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Create, send, and follow up on invoices, ensuring prompt payment and resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct and compliant with company policies.
  • Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Participate in the financial audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the payment processing team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency in mathematics.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
