About the Role:

Apt Resources | Recruitment Specialists is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finishing Carpenter to join our team. As a Finishing Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing and building custom millwork, such as cabinetry, countertops, and doors, to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and build custom millwork, including cabinetry, countertops, and doors, to ensure high-quality finishes and meet client expectations.
  • Perform repairs on existing millwork to ensure high-quality standards and extend the lifespan of the work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documentation to ensure accurate installation and finishing.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including project managers and clients, to ensure timely project completion and meet client needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner, providing clear and concise updates on project progress.
  • Meet project deadlines and work efficiently without compromising quality, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards and company policies.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Finishing Carpenter, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting client expectations.
  • Knowledge of architectural and millwork plans and drawings, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, with the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, adapting to changing circumstances and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on trade-related subjects or vocational training.
