Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Procurement Specialist to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for mechanical equipment and materials used in Oil and Gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas compressors, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems, with a focus on the design, installation, and maintenance of such systems for large-scale projects in the Oil & Gas industry.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the procurement of mechanical equipment, materials, and services for Oil and Gas operations.
  • Reviewing technical specifications and procurement documents for compliance with requirements.
  • Releasing RFQs and organizing the evaluation and selection of suppliers.
  • Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of the mechanical equipment and materials being used in the oil and gas industry.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management or other related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical procurement within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • EPC experience will be considered a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of pumps, gas dehydration units, desalters, separators, vessels, chemical injection systems, and flare systems.

You will also need to be proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, and have a strong understanding of contract management and effective communication channels between vendors and suppliers.
