Job Summary

Penspen Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing telecommunication systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop telecommunication systems, including SDH/SONET, DWDM network design/configuration, and structured cabling for industrial premises.
  • Develop and implement technical specifications, data sheets, and sizing calculations for telecommunication systems.
  • Review vendor documents, drawings, and prepare technical bid evaluation reports.
  • Conduct field testing procedures and utilize field test equipment to ensure the quality of telecommunication systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of telecommunication systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
  • 6-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Design.
  • Previous experience in the region is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international codes, standards, and engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering processes and technical analysis of engineering problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Industrial SCADA/DCS/PLC & RTU Systems.
  • Knowledge of communication channel allocation plan and network management system.
  • Software packages and configuration, Terminal Multiplexers, Add-Drop Multiplexers, and Main Distribution Frames.
