Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Communication Specialist to join our team at Al Nahiya Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our radio communication systems and providing critical support to our offshore sites.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Message Passing and Reporting: The Radio Communication Specialist will be responsible for attending radio calls and accurately passing messages to enable prompt action.
  2. Weather Reporting: The candidate will be responsible for reporting weather conditions to our offshore sites in real-time to facilitate informed decision-making.
  3. After-Hours Support: The Radio Communication Specialist will be responsible for answering all telephone calls after office hours to ensure ongoing communication and effective response to callers.
  4. Emergency Notification: The candidate will be responsible for following our emergency notification procedure to report any emergency occurrences in a timely manner.
  5. Supply Vessel Scheduling: The Radio Communication Specialist will be responsible for reporting the schedule of supply vessels dispatched to and from our offshore sites to ensure our staff is informed.
  6. Weather Update Reporting: The candidate will be responsible for collecting weather update reports twice a day from our offshore sites and forwarding them to concerned government authorities to comply with legislative requirements.
  7. International Call Management: The Radio Communication Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and identifying international calls bills for the international calls dialed from our central reception and notifying our staff for appropriate deduction of personal calls.
  8. Radio System Monitoring: The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting anomalies in the function of our radio handsets and systems to ensure smooth radio operations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a secondary school education with 3-5 years of relevant experience or a high school education with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

A valid license for radio operations is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

Arabic language skills (speaking and understanding) are an added advantage.
