About the Role: As a Smart Field Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering the Smart Field programme by defining and designing the requirements of Smart infrastructure, and monitoring and control systems for the remote management of Smart facilities. You will work closely with management to promote the Smart Field AI programme, increasing operating efficiency and improving HSE issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and support the deployment of 'fit for purpose' technologies to support the Smart Fields programme.
- Review the pre-conceptual design of integrated control and safety systems for new field development projects to enable targeted operation philosophy and fulfill the corporate automation objectives that fall under the Smart Fields domain.
- Review the conceptual design for remote monitoring and control systems for field upgrade projects and existing field facilities in coordination with Operations and Field Development.
- Provide expert advice on corporate strategy implementation for voice, data, and video services in line with Smart Field programme requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in the review of FEED/EPC deliverables on telecommunication and control system architecture and automation & control philosophy for both new projects and existing upgrade projects to check compliance with main automation and Smart Fields requirements.
- Attend design review meetings with Engineering and EPC Contractors to check compliance with main Smart Fields requirements.
- Develop Smart Fields requirements guidelines for specification and selection of process integrated control and safety systems for field development.
- Prepare blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other visual aids to address requirements and indicate progress to management.
- Participate in the scope of work reviews to ensure technical requirements and applicable policies and procedures are aligned in all phases of the project.
- Participate in the technical evaluation of bids and provide construction input when required.
- Participate in the review of project planning packages and provide inputs to the planning engineer on areas of improvement, major risks, and shortfalls in the schedule.
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills: 8 years of experience in a similar position within Oil & Gas project construction.
