About the Role

The Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the process engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects during the engineering phase. This role involves managing the design, development, and implementation of process systems to ensure they meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Lead and manage process engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
  2. Process Design: Develop and review process design documents, including PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and process simulations.
  3. Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the process engineering team, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
  4. Collaboration: Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure integrated project delivery.
  5. Quality Assurance: Conduct technical reviews and audits to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  6. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery and quality of equipment and services.
  7. Process Safety: Ensure all process designs comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implement process safety management (PSM) systems.
  8. Commissioning and Startup: Support commissioning and startup activities, ensuring process systems are correctly installed and operational.
  9. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, datasheets, and as-built drawings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role within offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
