Team Overview:
The Tax Division at Precision Hire Solution is expanding to collaborate with various corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax dispute resolution. We ensure adherence to both direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax regulations while addressing tax-related challenges.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Tax Compliance Specialist, you will oversee tax compliance obligations and processes throughout the Middle East & Africa region, with a focus on VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and withholding tax submissions. Your role will involve monitoring and interpreting tax legislation, conducting tax validation and data reconciliation, and reviewing VAT General Ledger accounts. You will also identify tax compliance issues and propose effective solutions, assist external advisors with tax return reviews, perform compliance checks on business units, and contribute to tax training initiatives. Additionally, you will provide tax guidance on various business projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance Support: Assist in the local tax compliance filing processes, particularly for VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and withholding tax in the Middle East & Africa region.
  • Legislation Monitoring: Track and analyze newly proposed and enacted tax laws, regulations, and judicial decisions that impact company operations and financial standing.
  • Tax Validation: Conduct tax validation, data reconciliation, and review VAT General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy in tax returns.
  • Issue Identification: Detect tax compliance issues and provide actionable recommendations and solutions.
  • Draft Review: Perform preliminary assessments of draft monthly, quarterly, and annual local tax returns prepared by external advisors.
  • Compliance Checks: Aid the tax team in executing periodic tax compliance audits on business units, highlighting exceptions and documenting compliance requirements.
  • Training Support: Assist in delivering tax training sessions for various stakeholders as necessary.
  • Advisory Role: Offer tax advice and support on various service lines and business initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 years of progressive tax experience in the Middle East region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation (or equivalent professional qualifications).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of tax compliance and analytical skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented, a collaborative team player, honest, adaptable, eager to learn, diligent, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in French, as financial statements and tax reports will be in French.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tax experience in Morocco and other Northern African countries is advantageous.
  • Experience in the TMT/technology sector is a plus.
  • Background in Big 4 or multinational corporations is preferred.
