Job Overview

Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for experienced Static Equipment Specialists to join our team. This role will be based in our Reading offices, focusing on Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) projects for upcoming initiatives. The position is full-time and staff-based.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing comprehensive data sheets for various static equipment, including pressure vessels (reactors, columns, drums), storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Creating requisitions for long lead items to ensure timely procurement.
  • Conducting thorough reviews and evaluations of supplier bids for long lead items, along with preparing detailed bid evaluation reports.
  • Formulating budget inquiries to support project estimations.
  • Providing expert support and guidance on matters related to static equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a contracting environment, particularly with pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers within FEED and EPC projects across the oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design of pressure vessels utilizing PV Elite or similar software.
  • Familiarity with thermal design processes, with experience in HTRI considered advantageous.
  • A flexible approach complemented by strong written and verbal communication skills.
