Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their level of physical function and limitations, and develop individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs and goals.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Treatment Implementation and Monitoring: Oversee and coordinate the implementation of treatment plans, including prescribing therapies, medications, and assistive devices, and provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of patient progress.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about their condition and offer guidance on self-care and home exercises.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document and maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development activities and stay current with new research and best practices in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • Treatment Protocol Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of treatment protocols and policies within the organization.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Experience from US (Board), Canada (Royal College Fellowship), UK (CCT), Ireland (CSD CSCST), Australia & NZ (Fellowship), France (DES DESC), and other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.
  • Education: MBBS/Medical degree from an accredited university.
  • Residency Training: Residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Board Certification: Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • Current State Medical License: Current state medical license.
