Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies that meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch and execution of category plans
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to inform category strategies
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and minimum MOQ that meets business objectives
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular business reviews and growth planning

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the grocery industry in Buying or Category Management. Time spent in tech or a start-up is a plus.
  • Experience negotiating with manufacturers, FMCGs, or brand owners. You will be proactively reaching out to brands to build partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Analytical skills are a big plus
