About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing onsite supervision of marine traffic movement and cargo operations within our service harbors in accordance with approved standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Assign Berth for Vessels and Barges: Coordinate with Port control/Radio room to assign berths for vessels and barges calling our service harbors.
- Control and Supervision of Vessel Movement: Supervise and control all vessels/barges movement (Entering/Departing and Berthing/Un-berthing) within our service harbors.
- Permit to Work Duties: Carry out permit to work duties, including area inspections, as authorized signatory where permitted.
- Safe System of Work: Ensure adherence to a safe system of work for all activities within service harbors in accordance with operational needs and permit requirements.
- Cargo Operations Supervision: Provide onsite supervision of cargo operations to ensure safe and efficient operation maintained in accordance with work permit conditions.
- Safety Checklists: Supervise and conduct safety checklists for vessels loading and discharging fuel.
- Inspections and Audits: Carry out frequent safety, operational, and housekeeping inspections within the harbor.
- HSE Policy Implementation: Ensure HSE policy, procedures, regulations, and objectives are effectively implemented.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the Marine Team Leader.
- Marine Certification: Minimum 1st Mate with a minimum of 2 years as a senior officer on board vessels with experience of operations and maintenance at oil terminals.
- Work Experience: At least 5 years of work experience in the logistics function within the oil and gas industry.
- Tankers Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as an officer serving on oil tankers.
- Language Skills: Very good knowledge of the English language. Some spoken Arabic would be an advantage.
