Key Responsibilities

The Senior Chief Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and preparing technical transportation policy information and reports. They will also identify transportation issues and problems, proposing solutions to address these challenges.

In addition, the successful candidate will prepare terms of reference and tender documents for transport policy studies, managing these studies to ensure alignment with Dubai's strategic transport plan.

The ideal candidate will conduct benchmarking and studies related to various transport policies in Dubai, developing and offering solutions as needed. They will also prepare technical reports and presentations on various issues related to the transport system in Dubai and between Dubai and neighboring emirates.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/Transportation Planning/Urban Planning or equivalent from an accredited university. A Master's degree in Urban Planning/Transportation Planning is preferred, along with a minimum of 11 years of experience in the field.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the section manager to provide ongoing assistance regarding transportation policy, planning, and legislation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/Transportation Planning/Urban Planning or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning/Transportation Planning (preferred).
  • Minimum 11 years of experience in the field.
