About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Engineer to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, organization, and execution of field engineering activities and related support operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide guidance to project teams regarding scope of work, schedules, procedures, and technical information to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Project Planning and Budgeting: Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined projects and schedules.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Establish, monitor, and maintain construction engineering quality control in the field to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with construction management, project design engineering, client representatives, and contractors to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor contractor performance and conduct performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
  • Decision Making and Advice: Make decisions regarding long-range planning, scheduling, budgeting, work priorities, and personnel, and provide advice on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters to management.
Requirements
  • Leadership Capability: Proven leadership capability with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in site supervision and contract administration, or a Master's degree with 7 years of post-graduate experience.
  • Technical Skills: Relevant IT skills and computer literacy, with experience in managing process, engineering contracts, contractual matters, value engineering, systems, procedures, and policies.
