Job Description

The Lockton Companies are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join their Retail Tax department. As an integral part of the team, you will assist the Head of Tax - Retail in ensuring tax compliance and advisory issues are addressed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in preparation, completion, and submission of VAT / Tax returns within filing deadlines.
  2. Conduct variance analysis of VAT / Tax returns on a monthly basis.
  3. Manage payments and submissions, keeping records of all returns submitted and paid.
  4. Collaborate with BU Finance teams to manage efficient tax processes, ensuring compliance with local laws and accounting standards.
  5. Follow up on erroneous account receivable / payable entries, interacting with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  6. Stay updated with new laws / guidance and updates released by FTA, determining their impact on compliance processes.
  7. Support the development & implementation of new VAT / Tax principles released by the FTA.
  8. Provide input from a compliance perspective into company policies.
  9. Assist in managing tax audits and coordinating appeals / reconsideration requests.
  10. Optimize tax efficiencies in all end-to-end processes.
