Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex underground utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of underground networks, including storm water, sanitary water, and oily water systems.
  • Ensure that all assigned activities are completed within the stipulated man-hour budgets and time schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of project-related standards and job notes.
  • Perform engineering design calculations and prepare design sketches as required.
  • Review and approve drawings related to your field of activity.
  • Review and comment on supplier and other discipline drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of contract requisitions and schedules of quantity for Underground Utilities work.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the lead or supervising Civil Engineer.
  • Ensure that all assigned work meets agreed standards for safety, health, environment, and demonstrates a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE performance.
  • Participate in and advise on all design activities and initiatives, including provision of training/inductions and documentation review.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' industrial experience.
  • Membership of a professional body and Chartered Engineer is highly desired.
  • Considerable experience in Civil Engineering, especially in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience in EPC organizations in the field of Engineering Design/FEED projects in all aspects of Civil and Structural activities.
  • Familiarity with terminology used and adopted in the Oil and Gas business.
  • Range of technical abilities, from the use of engineering and design software such as STAADPro/GTSTRUDL, through to understanding of topographical, geophysical, and geotechnical issues.
