Job Overview:
Remitly is seeking a talented senior legal advisor to join our Middle East team. As a key member of our payments counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting our growth and expansion into new markets. With your extensive experience in international trade and finance, you will provide expert guidance on payment-related matters, helping us navigate complex regulatory environments.
Reporting to the Legal Director, Payments & Products, Middle East, you will work closely with our business and product teams to develop strategic plans for cross-border expansion. Your ability to analyze complex data, identify risks, and provide timely advice will be essential in driving our success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal support on payment products and services, including cross-border expansion initiatives.
- Negotiating commercial agreements with partners, such as banks and payment processors.
- Supporting government relations and compliance teams on regulatory engagement matters.
- Monitoring changes in payment-related laws and regulations and advising on necessary updates to our products and services.
