Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our water/wastewater treatment team, you will be responsible for overseeing process investigations, conceptual designs, and detailed designs for water/wastewater/water reuse infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead process investigations and conceptual planning, preparing detailed designs and specifications.
  • Review data collection and analysis, prepare design drawings and specifications, and solve design problems as required.
  • Manage the preparation of process specifications, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
  • Work with the Regional Design Director and Project Managers to conduct technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
  • Liaise with teams working remotely to facilitate completion of tasks and projects.
  • Manage and lead junior process engineers.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering from a recognized University (Masters degree preferred).
  • College/university graduate with 15 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • The ability to manage a heavy workload with a close attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills, including wastewater modeling.
  • The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis while consistently meeting your objectives.
  • Strong team working capabilities, committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
  • A proactive approach, working effectively in coordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
  • Be of the highest calibre, punctual, attentive, and competent in adhering to Stantec's policies, procedures, and working practices.
