Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of processes surrounding tax compliance, maintaining robust reconciliations and documentation to satisfy tax and finance regulatory requirements.
  • Manage tax assessments, audits and inspections, and own the relationship with internal and external tax consultants.
  • Provide advice to the finance and non-finance business operations on tax-related queries and implications for new and ongoing client/supplier projects.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of tax numbers to corporate teams internally, and periodic tax budgeting/forecasting for internal reporting.
  • Support the Director of Finance Controllership on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis.
  • Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage subordinates ensuring their career development and coaching.

Requirements

  • Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA or other recognised Accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in the ME&A region, with experience of working in a tax & compliance lead role for a construction/engineering consultancy organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of ME&A tax regulations and requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools.
  • High standard of (numerical) presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication in English (both written and oral).
  • Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions.
  • Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards and Oracle.
  • Big 4 experience as a senior associate or above.
  • Grasp over Arabic language will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot and PowerBI tools is an advantage.
