Role Overview

Memco is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to create detailed mechanical plans and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. As an MEP Mechanical Draftsman, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure that mechanical designs meet project specifications and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate mechanical drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD software
  • Collaborate with other members of the MEP team, including electrical and plumbing draftsmen, engineers, and project managers, to ensure proper system integration
  • Conduct field visits to gather information, measurements, and photographs needed to create mechanical plans
  • Ensure that mechanical plans and components meet safety standards and regulations
  • Update and revise plans as necessary throughout the project
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all mechanical plans and revisions
  • Provide technical support to construction teams and other professionals involved in the project

Requirements:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Experience with CAD software and knowledge of mechanical codes and regulations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
