Quality Assurance Lead

Purpose:
- To perform process control measurements from receiving to dispatch, ensuring produced goods meet quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing on raw or finished products to ensure adherence to procedural quality requirements.
- Check packaging parameters and work completion reports to ensure defined quality standards are met.
- Conduct routine inspections of processing areas to ensure activities comply with standards.
- Evaluate the application of GMP principles in premises, personnel, sanitation programs, operations, specifications, stability, samples, records, recall reporting, and sterile products.
- Document infestation levels to ensure they are within acceptable ranges for human consumption.
- Carry out and document process checks at dispatch, sorting, and machine operations.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Follow up on approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
Statement and Reports:
- Prepare relevant departmental statements and reports (quality deviations) timely and accurate to meet Al Foah and department requirements, policies, and standards.
Framework, Boundaries & Decision-Making Authority:
- The Quality Inspector reports to the Site Quality Manager and confers with the latter on critical and strategic issues.
- Assist in executing regular process control checks, quality audits, and reports in line with the Al Foah Quality Systems and any Regulatory requirements locally or internationally.
- Key decisions having a significant impact on the Quality functions are referred to the Quality & HSE Manager for approval before implementation.
- Exercise financial authority as per the level established by Al Foah's management.
Job Specific Skills:
- Ability to effectively conduct different types of process control checks in an objective manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.
- Participate and assist teams to ensure an understanding of how quality principles relate to business processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar environment, preferably in food production.
- Ability to communicate in Arabic, preferably in English.
