Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) is seeking an experienced Environmental and Social (E&S) expert to lead the management of E&S studies for projects and provide supporting services for compliance and performance aspects during Guzar project delivery and asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of E&S strategies and plans for projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams on E&S aspects, including environmental impact assessments, social risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective E&S management and reporting, including project sponsors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, NGOs, and government agencies, to ensure effective E&S management and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct regular site visits and assessments to ensure compliance with E&S standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement E&S training programs for project teams and stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Social Sciences, or equivalent.
- 8-10 years of experience in the E&S field, including 3 years of experience in internationally funded projects in emerging markets (WB/IFC, EBRD, ADB) or equivalent experience.
- Experience working as a consultant and/or at the client or lender side.
- Work experience in the renewable energy sector is an asset.
