Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety protocols are followed at all times, and that all activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
- Sampling and Inspection: Coordinate the sampling and inspection of products in storage tanks, barges, railcars, and other facilities.
- Reporting and Scheduling: Utilize STUI for reporting, tracking, and scheduling of shipments and other logistics activities.
- Product Analysis: Analyze product reports and maintain spreadsheets of product volumes and specifications.
- Shipments and Logistics: Schedule, monitor, and control shipments sent for assigned areas, as well as outside labor contractors.
- Reporting and Invoicing: Generate shipping orders, process bills of lading, and review and approve invoices for submission to Accounts Payable.
- Barge Operations: Secure and charter barges for company product purchases and sales, and generate and issue barge movement nominations.
- Efficiency and Cost Control: Maintain records of efficiencies and inefficiencies to assist leadership in making informed decisions about utilization, efficiency, and cost control.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and provide training to less experienced employees in multiple areas of expertise.
- Software Implementation: Implement new software systems and train team members in their operation as necessary to support business growth.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- License: Valid driver's license.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess adequate interpersonal skills to effectively maintain business relationships with coworkers, disposal facilities, and contractors.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate organizational skills that enable effective multitasking in a fast-paced business environment.
- Logistics Experience: Possess proficient knowledge of general logistics management and the coordination of multiple moving parts simultaneously.
