This is a critical role within our operations group, requiring a highly skilled Energy Systems Specialist to install, operate, and maintain electrical power generating and control systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our power plants.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in the electrical power generation field, with a strong understanding of principles of electronics and electricity. You will be responsible for installing, removing, and operating electrical power generating and control systems, as well as checking equipment for serviceability and ensuring compliance with publications, policies, and directives. Additionally, you will inspect, test, and service component systems such as safety, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and air pressure, pumps, regulators, governors, and accessory equipment. You must be able to interpret instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, synchro scopes, automatic temperature and pressure recorders, and engine oil, fuel, and coolant gauges. The ideal candidate will also have experience with operating and maintaining generators ranging from 5 to 4,300 kilowatts. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently, and that our customers receive the highest level of service.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent training/experience and a valid driver's license. You must also have a minimum of five years' experience in the electrical power generation field, with a strong understanding of principles of electronics and electricity. Additionally, you must be able to manage resources and activities devoted to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power generating and control systems. It would also be beneficial if you have experience with operating and maintaining generators ranging from 5 to 4,300 kilowatts. You must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
