Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of multi-discipline engineers and contractors to deliver complex water infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of multi-discipline engineers and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Dispute Resolution: Implement methods for dispute avoidance and resolution, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of issues.
- Project Management: Proactively manage multiple sites, ensuring effective project execution and timely completion.
- Technical Evaluation: Evaluate technical proposals, assess constructability, and recommend solutions for technical site problems.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure, and Resources Breakdown Structure.
- Environmental Protection: Oversee environmental protection aspects of construction and operation of similar size sewerage projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control, reviewing and justifying material submissions, analyzing laboratory and technical reports, and conducting acceptance sampling plans.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare clear, concise technical reports, QA/QC plans, and construction project monthly valuations.
- Site Instructions and Variation Orders: Prepare Site Instructions and Variation Orders, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: 8+ years of work experience, ideally with an engineering consultancy, with hands-on experience in the design and integration of SCADA systems.
- Skills: Demonstrable work experience on at least 2 major SCADA projects, with expertise in water infrastructure, TSE, transmission, water pipelines, RO plants, water reservoirs, and recycled water.
