Position Overview

As a Senior Telecommunications Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing comprehensive design documentation and models for telecom systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all designs meet the project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Development: Create detailed drawings, diagrams, and other 2D and 3D design outputs, including Telecom Architecture, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, control architecture diagrams, and cable route drawings.
  • Software Utilization: Employ 2D design software such as AutoCAD and Smart Plant Instrumentation tools, including Smart Plant 3D and AVEVA, to enhance design efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various design disciplines, including civil, structural, and electrical, to ensure the integration of telecom systems within larger projects.
  • Model Creation: Develop accurate Smart Plant 3D (SP3D) and E3D/PDMS models for telecommunications equipment, ensuring precise representation of equipment and cabling.
  • Material Takeoffs: Generate material takeoffs from SP3D models to provide accurate quantities for procurement and construction purposes.
  • Discipline Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of Instrumentation & Control activities, including Fire and Gas and Telecoms discipline requirements, to assist the team in meeting project expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in telecommunications design principles and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
