Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate individual or department, providing routine information about the hospital as needed.
  • Handle phone inquiries from patients, screen calls for urgency, and refer callers as necessary.
  • Register new patients, update files by collecting details, and respond to patient inquiries regarding treatment, benefits, and billing.
  • Provide medical insurance coverage information to patients and verify coverage before referring them to a doctor.
  • Prepare insurance claim forms and arrange them in doctors' rooms.
  • Cater to all incoming patients, including those with appointments.
  • Maintain knowledge of Hospital Information Systems, clinic schedules, appointment durations, and procedures for booking appointments.
  • Perform tasks involving patient handling, telephone calls, cash transactions, and back-office work as specified in the duty roster.
  • Ensure uniform operation according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed and maintain a safe, clean reception area.
  • Provide education to patients requiring investigation procedures by explaining processes and handing over relevant materials.
  • Participate in hospital training programs.
  • Address complaints in a structured, timely, professional manner while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital protocols.
  • Comply with confidentiality agreements and maintain strict compliance with designated confidential information.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department, within employee capacity and designation.
