Head Bartender Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Head Bartender to join our team at Novotel Hotels. As a key member of our bar team, you will be responsible for leading by example, providing guidance and direction to your colleagues, and ensuring that every drink that leaves our bar is of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Bar Team: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and provide clear guidance and direction to your team members.
  • Craft Innovative Cocktails: Develop and implement new cocktail recipes that align with our brand identity and current beverage trends.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Train bartenders on our unique recipes, mixing techniques, and presentation standards to ensure consistency in drink preparation and presentation.
  • Menu Development: Work closely with management to develop and update the cocktail menu, ensuring it reflects our brand identity and current beverage trends.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of the bar area and equipment to ensure everything is running smoothly.
  • Cash Handling and Record Keeping: Oversee cash handling procedures, register reconciliation, and keep our records spot on.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Head Bartender with strong spirits knowledge.
  • People Skills: A natural people person – confident behind the bar and brilliant with guests.
  • Creativity: Humble and open to ideas, with a willingness to try new things.
  • Team Player: Up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
  • Passion: Want to be part of something bigger and have fun along the way.
