Job Summary:

Parsons Oman is seeking an experienced Associate BIM Modeler - Utilities Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Utilities Design team, you will be responsible for performing a range of design and drafting tasks using Autodesk Civil 3D and other relevant software.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce high-quality Autodesk Civil 3D models and 2D drawings from these models.
  2. Collect and consolidate information from various sources.
  3. Verify that information is consistent with site configuration.
  4. Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and reporting.
  5. Document and maintain records to ensure clarity of process and outcomes.
  6. Assist in resolving issues, identifying problems, and escalating to manager as needed.
  7. Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards.
  8. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with site teams.
  9. Manage interfaces within Roads & Networks projects related to change and modification.
  10. Comply with company policies and procedures and adhere to project BIM standards.
  11. Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University.
  2. Minimum 3+ years of CAD drafting experience in wet and dry utilities projects and extensive experience in modeling pressurized and gravity systems.
  3. Extensive experience and knowledge of software like Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, with practical experience in designing, drafting (Both in 2D and 3D).
  4. Knowledge and experience in clash detection is required.
  5. Experience in Abu Dhabi Standards for large infrastructure works is required.
  6. Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills with various levels of the organization.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  2. Being accurate, patient, and able to work under pressure.
  3. Experience in Navisworks and Microstation will be an added advantage.
