Job Description

The Technical Drawing Specialist will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software. This role involves translating design concepts into precise drawings, ensuring they meet all specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings using CAD software.
  • Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings based on specifications provided by architects and engineers.
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and meet project requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements.
  • Make revisions to drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation and presentation materials.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local and federal regulations and building codes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to company guidelines and standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits on drafted documents.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior drafts people or interns in using drafting tools.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or diploma in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in drafting or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other drafting tools.
  • Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and mechanical drafting principles.
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
