About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Partner to join our team at H-E-B. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production of our products, from raw materials to finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain total process ownership to ensure optimum condition of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Perform product handling to convert raw materials into finished goods, including cutting, trimming, slicing, dicing, seasoning, mixing, decorating, designing, icing, and digital processing
- Apply basic knowledge of and complete Mfg system (QMS) documentation
- Assist with preparing and loading production materials
- Check for accuracy of product
- Fabricate and fill product containers as necessary
- Ensure product quality control to comply with product specifications
- Perform Production Partner I duties as needed
- Depending on the plant, machine operation may include intermediate-level operation, production setup, changeover, cleaning, and troubleshooting of various equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
- Pack finished goods into shipping units
- Palletize shipping units in an interlocking manner, using correct tie height
- Ensure pallets are strapped or stretch-wrapped to minimize product shifting or damage
- Select orders
- Operate a forklift
- Verify product is in good condition for shipment
- Load trailers with finished goods
- Document outgoing product
- Request or release trailers
Sanitation and Quality Control:
- Assemble or disassemble equipment for cleaning and sanitizing
- May use automated cleaning systems
- May use various chemical agents
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Certification in Team Skills
- Technical knowledge of automated cleaning skills and chemical cleaning agents
- Technical knowledge or basic understanding of equipment assembly and disassembly
- Understanding of QES standards
- Organization skills; attention to detail
- Math (+,-,*,/) skills
- PC skills
- Bi-lingual language skills a plus
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to operate machines or equipment at intermediate level
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel by car or plane with overnight stays
- Ability to work extended hours or rotating schedules
- Ability to maneuver through the facility and perform functions of the job, with or without accommodation (standing, stooping, bending, etc.)
- Ability to work in wet, cold, or hot environments, depending on plant location
