Job Title: Senior Process Safety Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe design, operation, and maintenance of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Meetings and Communication: Attend client meetings and communicate issues with the lead engineer as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Procedure Adherence: Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline-specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Audits and Investigations: Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
  • Professional Development: Actively maintain own competence according to standards and pursue continuous professional development.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments.
  • Technical Safety Expertise: Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up.
  • International Codes and Standards: Thorough awareness of international codes and standards.
  • Loss Prevention Experience: Experience of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes.
  • HAZOP and HAZID Experience: Experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies.
  • MOC Reviews: Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) reviews.
  • PHE Modelling: Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required.
  • QRA Reviews: Able to interrogate and review Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) as required.
  • Deputising for Lead Engineer: Deputising for lead engineer where required.
  • Personal Objectives: Executing assigned personal objectives.
  • Third-Party Supplier Management: Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of engineering delivery.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable.
  • Strong Commitment to Safety: Strong commitment to safety.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience: High source experience is required.
  • Project Phases: Experience of Concept / FEED project phases.
  • Industrial Experience: Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at a relevant level and position.
  • Oil and Gas Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • EPC Company Experience: Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an EPC company.
