We are seeking a highly skilled Simulator Support Specialist to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our flight simulators.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in updating monthly NDB charts and other maintenance schedules as guided by senior engineers. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks independently on simulators and associated systems.
- Refer to schematics and assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems. Utilize the Maintenance Management System Gemini to record and track maintenance activities.
- Perform preflight checks on all simulators and ensure they are ready for use. Run QTG (Quick Turnaround Gap) as per the preventive maintenance schedule and obtain verification from an engineer.
- A minimum of 2 years' technical degree or equivalent related training.
- At least 5 years of direct simulator experience with 3 years of relevant experience per assigned location.
- Proficiency in using various test equipment.
- Ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.
- Ability to assist the CAE SimuFlite Engineering Team with design changes and software enhancements.
- Demonstrated ability as a Technical Expert on at least one major simulator system.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
- Fluency in English.
