Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for drivers on safety protocols, including vehicle inspection reports, hours of service reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of regulatory compliance, including MSHA, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and USCG requirements.
  • Facility Inspections: Conduct regular facility inspections to evaluate safe work behaviors and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide administrative support to the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager, including direction, guidance, and training for location managers.
  • Training and Development: Lead classroom training for new hire safety training and ensure consistent training procedures are followed.
  • Compliance and Adherence: Ensure all employees understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of safety experience required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; or at least 2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Skills: OSHA and FMCSA experience preferred; ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive attitude, professionalism, strong customer service and communication skills required.
