Job Description:

The Senior Safety and Health Manager will be responsible for the most complex technical work in a wide range of environmental health and safety disciplines. This includes achieving compliance with ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.

Maintaining expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements is essential. The role utilizes advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of environmental principles to develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.

This position involves monitoring and preventing hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area. Accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace are investigated, and recommendations for improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment are made to minimize hazards.

The Senior Safety and Health Manager develops and conducts employee training, emergency preparedness, and assures the quality of programs. Providing regulatory interpretation and technical advice is also key to this role. Reports and corrective actions are prepared and recommended.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree/Certification required
  • Diploma/certificate in health and safety or equivalent training and experience
  • Extensive experience in Construction Projects
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to examine incidents and problems, detect root causes, and resolve issues
  • Minimum 15 years of direct onsite safety management experience and health and safety practices
  • Design-Build and Progressive Delivery experience.
  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
