We are seeking a skilled Welding Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality in our welding operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and initiate project-specific Quality Management System (QMS) documents at the commencement of contracts, adhering to established templates.
  • Take full responsibility for preparing the tailored Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) documentation for the project.
  • Conduct induction and training sessions for site personnel on quality control standards and expectations.
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure compliance with tolerances specified in the standards and QMS documentation.
  • Complete necessary documentation to verify that quality checks have been conducted.
  • Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requests and manage the NDT contractor.
  • Expedite the delivery of NDT reports and maintain updated weld maps and inspection records.
  • Ensure proper identification of welders on-site and on documentation.
  • Conduct dimensional checks during operations, ensuring adherence to drawings and codes.
  • Assist in the development of project handover documentation.
  • Engage with customer representatives regarding quality-related matters.
  • Perform quality control inspections on suppliers, including painters and insulation contractors.
  • Inspect goods, materials, and verify material certificates.
  • Conduct regular audits of welders and welding processes.
  • Compile monthly KPI reports and communicate findings to clients and senior management.
  • Manage technical queries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure calibration and suitability of welding and measurement equipment.
  • Facilitate quality toolbox talks and identify appropriate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for both on-site and off-site fabrication.
  • Oversee the storage, selection, and control of consumables.

Essential Qualifications

  • CSWIP 3.1 certification.
  • Radiographic interpretation at PCN level.
  • Technical qualifications or vocational training in welding or plating.
  • Experience in quality control inspection.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and structural engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) compliance.
