Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled BIM Modeler to support our team in the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. In this role, you will work closely with our Project Delivery Teams to execute day-to-day BIM activities, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration among team members.
Key Responsibilities- Support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in day-to-day BIM implementation activities, including model development, clash detection, and visual walkthroughs.
- Develop 3D/2D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, clash reporting, and presentation, aligned with project LOD requirements and modeling standards.
- Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity takeoff.
- Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Verify that all models, drawings, and deliverables comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
- Prepare engineering drawings from the model, including basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, and sections.
- Develop and extract 2D geometry from models for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
- Ensure Project Information Models (PIMs) are delivered in accordance with the agreed Technical Information Delivery Plan (TIDP), Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocol.
- Prepare BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements.
- Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer, taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3-8 years of related experience in BIM modeling, coordination, and implementation.
- Strong computer skills in CAD/BIM software, including Civil 3D and Revit, and proficiency in utilizing BIM standards processes and related modeling software.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
