About the Role

Crescent Petroleum Upstream is seeking a technical lead for geophysics to join the Subsurface Team. The role involves leading a team of geophysicists, providing technical guidance, and managing high-quality technical project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of geophysical projects ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the geophysics team.
  • Evaluate geophysical contracts including evaluation of new technologies and equipment.
  • Design and oversee acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical data.
  • Advise on best equipment and software choices for geophysical data acquisition and processing.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Presents interpretations, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree in geophysics - MSc or PhD degree is preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of experience in geophysics (E&P Operating Company or Geoscience Consultancy).
