Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and Processing:
    • Assist with the unloading of incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders.
    • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of received items and report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Storage and Organization:
    • Safely and efficiently store products in designated areas and maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, including aisles and storage areas.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick and pack items according to store orders and ensure the accuracy and quality of items being shipped.
    • Prepare and label packages for shipment to stores and assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits and monitor inventory levels to report low stock or overstock situations.
    • Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures and operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Manager.
  • General Duties:
    • Assist with warehouse organization and workflow optimization and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus.
    • Forklift Driving License is a plus.
    • Driving License is a must.
  • Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) certification is a plus.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Reliable and punctual.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50lbs).
Work Environment:
  • The role involves working in a warehouse setting which may include exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
