Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). This department is responsible for ensuring environmental protection and performance across our refinery and gas facilities. GMSD provides technical consultations, operational support, troubleshooting, benchmarking, strategic planning, and assessments in various areas, including safety, environmental compliance, cybersecurity, advanced process control, energy efficiency, and operational excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and enhancing the environmental performance of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in cost engineering and coordinate activities within the team.
- Conduct regular monitoring and reporting of environmental performance.
- Ensure alignment of facility operations and business objectives with environmental protection policies.
- Identify deviations and develop solutions to mitigate environmental risks.
- Develop and implement a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management program, including data collection and reporting.
- Conduct internal GHG assurance audits and assist in third-party audits.
- Monitor waste disposal practices to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Oversee air quality and water conservation performance.
- Establish environmental KPIs in line with company policies.
- Develop and maintain environmental procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct environmental audits and assessments.
- Benchmark environmental performance across refineries.
- Organize workshops for technical exchange among industry peers.
- Create and deliver training materials to promote environmental awareness.
Qualifications:
- This role necessitates the candidate's relocation to a new location.
- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution, with a preference for a Master's degree or EPI/QEP certification.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry is required, particularly in refining or chemical processes, with at least 7 years in an environmental management role.
- Preferred skills include strong management and coordination abilities, robust analytical skills, and excellent technical writing and presentation capabilities.
