Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Beach Safety Officer to join our team at Jumeirah. As a key member of our beach operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a Professional Demeanour: Always maintain a professional, responsible, attentive, and watchful demeanor when interacting with guests and visitors.
  • Ensure Guest Safety: Caution guests regarding unsafe areas and rescue guests in danger of drowning, administering first aid as necessary.
  • Beach Maintenance: Maintain order on the beach, conduct or officiate swimming meets, and provide swimming instructions as required.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the assigned beach area.
  • Patrol the Beach: Patrol the designated swimming areas or paddle craft/canoe and keep an eye on guests/visitors who are in deep water at all times, promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Enforce Swimming Rules: Ensure that all swimming rules and regulations are followed by members and guests, and lifesaving techniques are used to deal with any safety issues or emergencies successfully.
  • Personal Hygiene and Grooming: Ensure that high standards of personal hygiene and grooming are strictly observed and followed, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
  • Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions, enabling delivery of luxurious service to guests in line with Jumeirah's standard of excellence.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environment procedures, instructions, and controls.
