About the Role

The Corporate Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in coordinating key communications functions for Al Ghurair Investment. This individual will work closely with the Group Communications Manager to develop and execute communications strategies, goals, and objectives for the company and its associated businesses.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional and friendly communications as the first point of contact for general external enquiries and correspondence.
  2. Receive and coordinate incoming correspondence, including collecting and distributing mail.
  3. Arrange meetings and prepare minutes of meetings (MOMs).
  4. Assist with planning, coordination, and support for the roll-out of any Communications/CSR programs and events.
  5. Coordinate group communications projects and CSR initiatives, reviewing and validating logistical and tactical elements.
  6. Support the Group Communications Manager in the development and execution of the strategic media plan.
  7. Proactively identify news angles that would position the company and its businesses in a positive light, monitor media for company news, and analyze industry trends, dispatching media clippings to relevant business units and alerting them to pertinent industry issues.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Fluent spoken and written Arabic language skills.
  • Superior writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Design/layout experience in PowerPoint, email announcements, etc.
