About the Role

Taptap Send is seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Regional Legal Director APAC.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legal frameworks and regulations, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various business functions.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all legal and regulatory aspects of market expansion in the APAC region, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy for Taptap Send's operations in the region.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to address complex legal challenges and provide strategic advice.
  4. Prepare and negotiate key commercial agreements with partners and stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with the broader legal team to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive identification and resolution strategies.
Qualifications:
  • A qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in practicing law.
  • Previous experience working in-house in a start-up or scale-up environment, covering a wide range of legal matters.
  • Familiarity with emerging markets and fintech sectors, ideally with experience engaging with external stakeholders such as regulators.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
