The Role

About MENA-Water

MENA-Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning and testing electromechanical and automatic control systems, ensuring the process performance of water and wastewater treatment plants meets design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding process and flow diagrams for water/wastewater treatment plants
  • Performing and documenting electromechanical and automatic control system tests, other related inspections, and commissioning activities
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing projects in accordance with deadline requirements
  • Ensuring process/performance of the machine is achieved as per the design
  • Preparing and maintaining the commissioning program and executing activities in accordance with the program
  • Good connection with clients/operation team for follow-up
  • Advising the Service team for maintenance and support for new sales and O&M contracts
  • Preparing/reviewing risk assessments and method statements as required
  • Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues
  • Maintaining the snagging list and progressing the completion of all snags assigned
  • Preparing or reviewing P&ID drawings and performing HAZOP study to validate the same for design and build projects
  • Preparing process description and control philosophy for design and build projects
  • Providing training for the operator
  • Producing project deliverables including Equipment Lists, Instrument Lists, Line Lists, Valve Lists, and I/O Schedules to specify technical requirements
  • Producing Plant Operating Procedures and O&M manuals and documentation
  • Preparing and following up documentation etc., as per company ISO Standards
