Global Customer Support Engineer for Dynamic Positioning Systems

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Dynamic Positioning and Joystick Control Systems, Acoustic Positioning Systems (HiPAP), various reference systems & sensors from Kongsberg Seatex, and Bandak Tautwire systems on vessels and in shipyards around the world.

Main Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of Dynamic Positioning and Joystick Control Systems, Acoustic Positioning Systems (HiPAP), and other related systems.
  • In-house engineering and onboard commissioning of DP Software (tuning of vessel model, Software upgrades & Interface modifications).
  • Perform tasks for system maintenance and performance assessments.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Support troubleshooting, configuring & repairing the products and other connected units as applicable.
  • Collaborate with the Product center for timely updates and continuous knowledge improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one or more of the following: electronics or instrumentation.
  • Minimum 3 years field experience in Dynamic positioning system field services.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Fluent in English, both written and orally.
  • Highly motivated for worldwide travel & support activities.
