Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Water Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our water infrastructure design team, you will be responsible for designing and modeling water supply, firefighting, wastewater, and irrigation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and model water infrastructure systems using various software tools.
  • Conduct stagnation and water age studies for potable water transmission projects.
  • Develop and implement modeling strategies for water services using different types of modeling software.
  • Validate modeling output with engineering calculations.
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of infrastructure design works for projects within allocated budgets.
  • Implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) for water infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate design submittals and deliverables, reviews, and approvals against contract requirements.
  • Adhere to AECOM's health and safety and quality measures, including safety in design works.
  • Produce technical reports and calculations, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Coordinate with CAD technicians and provide design input.
  • Coordinate with authorities for design review and approvals.
  • Stay up-to-date with UAE and KSA design guidelines and authorities' requirements.
  • Utilize software tools such as WaterGEM, SewerGEM, StormCAD, Civil 3D, InfoSWMM, MIKE URBAN, Infoworks ICM, Bentley Hammer, ARCMap, PCSWMM, and HEC-RAS.
Requirements:
  • Professional recognition, such as Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • 5 years of design experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a water-related subject.
